Studio Moncur is a Sydney-based interior practice specialising in residential design. Our philosophy is simple: homes should be elegant, personal, and responsive to the lives within them. We create spaces that balance tradition with modern living — layering colour, texture, and form to craft interiors that feel refined, timeless, and deeply connected.

I grew up on Moncur Street in Woollahra — a leafy, character-filled corner of Sydney where timeless homes sit amongst vibrant streets and tree-lined paths. It’s here that my love for interiors began, shaped by spaces that felt both beautiful and deeply personal.

Studio Moncur was born from this foundation: the belief that a home is never just a place to live, but a reflection of who we are and the lives we’re shaping.

Philosophy

Our design philosophy is rooted in elegance, simplicity, and intention — creating spaces that feel considered, honest, and enduring.

Every home begins with understanding. Claudia’s approach is grounded in listening first — uncovering how people live, what they value, and the stories they want their home to tell. From there, she layers textiles, objects, and architectural detail with care, shaping interiors that evolve naturally over time. Her focus is always on balance: refined yet lived in, timeless yet personal, expressive of the lives they hold.
